Local farmers, healthcare professionals, and registered nurse and Midwestern Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14) will participate in an open discussion regarding hardships facing Minnesota’s rural communities and explore meaningful solutions.

KASSON, MN. – On Wednesday, August 19th at 10:30 AM, U.S. Congressional candidate Jake Johnson and DFL Senate candidate Simon Glaser will host a roundtable discussion focused on the issues facing farmers and rural communities in Dodge and Olmsted Counties.
Glaser and Johnson will be joined by local farmers, healthcare professionals and policy leaders, including Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14), a registered nurse who has worked at a federal level to fight to increase rural health care access.
The discussion will be an open dialogue between the candidates and community stakeholders and will also give community members an opportunity to speak directly with current and future legislators about potential solutions.
